Lufthansa Group appoints Black Diamond as retained agency in UK and Ireland

Integrated communications agency, Black Diamond, has been appointed by the Lufthansa Group (LHG) to act as its retained public relations agency in the UK & Ireland, following a competitive pitch process.

LHG comprises five airlines, including premium brands Lufthansa, SWISS and Austrian Airlines; alongside Point-to-Point airlines; Brussels Airlines and Eurowings. Black Diamond’s remit will focus on media relations, highlighting the airlines’ ongoing sustainability efforts, leadership in digital innovation, sharing new route announcements and financial results, in addition to a number of news worthy events and price campaigns.

LHG is the world’s largest aviation group in terms of turnover as well as market leaders in Europe’s Airline sector. The group strives to be the “First Choice in Aviation”, with safety, quality, reliability and innovation taking priority within all its business activity. The Network currently serves 343 destinations in 103 countries totalling 15,415 flights across the North Atlantic, South America, Africa, Europe and the Far East.

The appointment comes hot on the heels of Visit Seattle who appointed Black Diamond in January 2019.
