Czech ski facility operators say the past season was one of their best ever.
In line with most ski businesses around the world that are making profit, the Czech Representatives of the Association of Mountain Resorts reported their revenue grew faster than the number of skiers, apparently indicating that skiers were paying more, although other financial factors could be at play.
The Czech Association of Mountain Resorts said skier numbers were up by 2 percent, while revenues grew by 5 percent compared to the previous winter.
The growth in numbers and revenue was put down to a healthy Czech economy with over 80 percent of visitors being from the domestic market.
