ORTOVOX has been working with the Styria-based knitted goods manufacturer HERATEX since the VERY BEGINNING in 1986. Our CLASSIC KNIT inserts and CLASSIC WOOL GLOVES are knitted and felted here – some still by hand. For the first time, Switzerland’s SWISSWOOL has been used as yarn in these product lines: In the midst of the Lechtal Alps, high-quality virgin wool is processed slowly and gently into fine yarn on age-old machines at the WOLLE WAGNER spinning mill.

Our new TRACE ski tour backpacks are produced by a company that excellently represents good working standards in Vietnam as demanded by the FAIR WEAR FOUNDATION and by ORTOVOX. The TRACE sets new standards in the ultra-light ski tour backpacks segment with its 2FOAM back panel: This REMOVABLE FOAM BACK offers a high level of comfort thanks to its soft outside, while firmer foam on the inside provides better PROTECTION AGAINST INJURIES SUSTAINED FROM EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT.

The BEAST SHOVEL is our new LIGHTWEIGHT ALL-ROUNDER in the avalanche shovels segment, weighting in at just 580g: With its clever features, high-quality materials and optimal working length, the BEAST is ideal for beginners as well as for more demanding users.
